The foundation for Strength Above All was laid when Chris and Roel teamed up with Rob in 1997 to blast hardcore out of a local garage in their hometown of Roermond (in the south of the Netherlands). Through the years they remained, playing old school hardcore and performing live incidentally
as they saw lots of people come and go. Therefore Strength Above All was finally formed in 2002 after Marlon and Nic (both former Down To Fight) joined up. At that time the band also changed their direction musically. After writing a completely new set of songs and rehearsing like hell
Strength Above All gave everyone a devastating first live pounding in Roermond in July 2005. After that they took up pace by doing shows all over the south-east of the Netherlands and by (self-) recording their bone-crushing debut EP titled ‘Draw The Line’. Currently Strength Above All is
going strong in blasting away audiences in venues in the Netherlands, Belguim and Germany and writing new material for future recordings. A label that shall release the upcoming (M)CD is yet to be determined.
Strength Above All mixes hardcore and metal by keeping the directness and aggression of hardcore in tact while packing that metal tightness and punch in their sound. Though creating an own style they will surely remind you of bands such as Hatebreed, Merauder, Kickback and Pro-Pain. In their songs
the pounding drums, massive guitar riffs and ripping guitarsolo's are topped of by an uncompromised brutal throat that spits both personal rage and dissatisfaction with the world right in your face.
Prepare for Strength Above All’s fury to keep your blood boiling for a while.
