the bodingtons.......What started as a solo project for singer/songwriter Mark Gerard Helbock has turned into a new rock band made up of members of the Lemongrass band, the Badlees and the Cellarbirds.Mark, Casey Pesce and Phil Pesce who were part of “the lemongrass band” have joined forces with Bret Alexander and Paul Smith of the Badlees/Cellarbirds to form a new rock sensation called "the Bodingtons".The Grass had made national and international noise between 1998-2001 first with the release of the EP “Eight Feet And Rising” and then with the full length “Good Day”. Touring with Phish, Marshall Tucker Band and From Good Homes to name just a few and recording with legendary producer Paul Hornsby.The Badlees scored two Top 10 singles in '95 with "Fear of Falling" and "Angeline Is Coming Home" for Polygram Records and their latest project “The Cellarbirds” was one of the most highly praised independent label releases of 2001 on S.A.M. Records The Bodingtons self-titled debut CD will be released to the world January 2006. The sounds on the disc dig back to the early days of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers as well as stealing some thunder from newer bands like Fountains of Wayne.
