Sacred Cowboys

Hard Country Music

About Me

A shot of Hank and a shot of AC DC, served over the rocks and therein lies the musical recipe for Sacred Cowboys. Country, Bluegrass, Gospel, Blues -- the Cowboys love it all, and refuse to be reigned in by genre limitations.Chosen by CountryStarsOnline as one of the top six Indie Artists to Watch in 2007, the band was described as:"...neither mainstream country nor rock. It’s like a Pete Townsend guitar smashed squarely between the two... if you are a hard-core George Strait loving fan, this may not be your cup-o-beer, however if you like Waylon AND Metallica, this (album, "Hard Country") will melt your muffins."In addition to headlining their own gigs, Sacred Cowboys have played in support of numerous bands, including: Big & Rich, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, David Allan Coe, Ray Scott, and Nashville Pussy. The band performs regularly at The Knitting Factory, Hollywood and has played at numerous clubs in the Los Angeles area: House Of Blues, Key Club, The Joint, and The Cat Club. The fall of 06, saw them make their Vegas premeire at the Railhead theatre in Boulder Station casino. In the summers of 05 and 06, the band played at the Wild Bill Days Fest, in Deadwood, SD.A regular surprise at Cowboy gigs are their frequent onstage guests, among them: Billy F Gibbons (ZZTop), Josh Groban, Rex Brown (Pantera), Scott Ian (Anthrax), and Snake Szabo (Skid Row). This a great rocking, country band. Come on out and see them, and get your "muffins melted."
