SHADOW WORK

take my eyes and use them well

About Me

From Denver Colorado, Shadow Work strives to create music that excites the mind and pleases the ears. The style is heavier than just rock n' roll but lies on the cusp between that and metal. The music tend to differ in emotion, rhythm, melody, and aggressivness. While the lyrical writing tells stories of life's lessons and serves as an outlet for either shouting or singing things otherwise left from being said.
Shadow work is actually a term used in Jungian dream analysis. The Shadow is the archtypal symbol for the human darkside left in the unconscious. Through working to find what lies within the shadow, one can uncover the shadow and achieve individuation, that is a whole self or enlightenment. Through a process called sublimation, that is directing anxieties, fears, and the shadow into art, one can discover who they really are. Through music, Shadow Work is accomplishing this and enjoys sharing their revelations as well.
