The group, F.L.A.T.T.I.E.S. {pronounced like Flat Ties} an acronym, meaning Freedom Lies Amongst The Thoughts In Every Soul, consists of 3 members, James Leonard, and a set of identical twins Michael and Mitchell Brown. The twins began writing and singing for the church at the age of 12 at the coaching of their mother and father, who were also writer/singers, well known, in the community for their talents. As children the twins were in demand, performing for their adult admirers upon their frequent requests. By the age of 15 they were singing in shows from South Carolina to North Carolina and they teamed with James Leonard and Carlos Morton who had been writing and rapping for 3 years, to form the group, F.L.A.T.T.I.E.S.. James musical background goes back to 8 years old when he was break dancing on cardboard boxes and elevated to writing and rapping. James loves to perform and the camera loves him. Through school talent shows, singing in the mall, on the streets and anywhere there was someone to listen; the group caught the ear of a hometown producer, as he began his own label, Way2Tight, founded by Mark Sibert and Jerome Jones, who teamed up with the group to produce their first underground release, Outside Incarceration, in 1998. At this time they were 17 years old. They sold over 2,000 copies of this album, which resulted in a rapid growth in the number of their fans and the demand for them to produce more music, bringing them to the reality, that the music industry is where they belong. They opened show for Goodie Mobb in 1998 and in 1999 followed their first album with an E.P., Black & Mild, which also sold over 2,000 copies to the local community. In 2000, Carlos Morton left the group. While remaining confident as a group, they continued to pursue their dreams of success in the entertainment industry. In 2001 they teamed with Dye Records/Mil-Ticket Entertainment, founded and owned by Earnest Dye, an ex-NFL offensive lineman and produced their first full length album, The Problem and Solution. This album was produced by Atlanta, G.A. native, Shawty Red, who also produced albums for Drama and Young Jezzy of Bad Boy Records new group, Boyz N Da Hood. The album was engineered by Billy Mims, who is a guitarist for George Clintons, Parliament Funkadelics, and was also featured in the album. They also had songs on the Mil-Ticket compilation C.D. and followed The Problem and Solution album with the E.P., Big Daddy Need Some. These albums are currently being sold in various locations and various web sites. Although over 10,000 copies of The Problem and Solution, were sold locally, the amount of sales for it and The Mil-Ticket Compilation is presently undisclosed to the group, as they are still awaiting the appropriate sales reports along with their royalties. Since the release of these albums they have been performing in their own shows in various locations through-out the eastern coast such as, Washington D.C., North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Mississippi. Now free from any contracts, they have continued to write and perform. They have produced more unreleased albums and are searching for their link to the mainstream, with much more product to bring to the table.

Drop Bombz is the first video we've ever done. It was also Angie Abbott's first video ever doing so it was a learning experience for us all. Her biggest lesson was to never edit the audio while editing the video. She said, "I'll leave the audio up to the artists and audio producers, from now on". Never the less it's great for a 1st video, what do you think?
