This is an extra myspace page to hold the music that isn't my jazz songs or my rock band 'Daze Like Theze'. Songs like 'Forgiving You' are examples of how I started as a songwriter over 10 years ago, before I became a jazz singer (see Simon Lawrence Jazz Band below).
Influenced by artists such as Simon and Garfunkel, particularly the guitar style of Paul Simon, and also of Bowie, Radiohead and The Doors, I have written numerous songs and have a self produced album 'Separate Stories'. I don't like repetition and so I endeavour to make each song different from the next, not just in its form, but often even its genre as well. That's probably one of the reasons why I have jazz, rock and indie myspace pages. I don't want to pigeon hole myself into one style, that's not what I'm about.
I have also flirted with instrumental music, see 'Unknown Movie Theme'. This is just one part of an entire score I am working on for a film that literally does not exist.
