As many people as I can... I'd love to have a network of friends all over the world. Been doing fairly well so far, knowing lots of people all over... Can't wait to meet more...HOWEVER... If your myspace music page says your an Indie/Rock/Alternative band... and basically your adding me to try to sell and advertise your gigs... DO NOT try to add me as a friend. The ONLY types of bands I EVER have enjoyed were bands like the Amino Acids who have crazy stage shows and utilize effex machines to play with and morph the sounds.OTHER THAN THAT, if you love electronic music, art, or crazy stage installations, I'd love to meet ya.
I love almost all styles of music... as long as I can feel the soul coming through the beats... an artist that puts in a bit of his/her soul into the creation... I can feel it, and I love it... Gospel House, Funk, Jazz, Eddie Fowlkes, Billy Love & Niko Marks (Detroit Wax), Carl Craig & the Detroit Experiment, Francois K, Progressive, Techno, Ryan Elliot, Derek Plasaiko, Jan D, Miss Kittin, www.UPSKIRTRECORDS.com, Danny Tenaglia, Bjork, Tommie Sunshine, Mike Haggerty, Nina Simone, Billy Holiday, Verve Records (I love how they remixed the old Jazz tunes), Chris Gin (Chicago) Teri Bristol and PsychoBitch (chicago greats!!), Skinny Puppy, The Amino Acids (crazy rock&roll band!!), Countermine, Brother Machine, Cyro Baptista, Beat the Donkey, and I'm sure that there are many more and more and more... I love so many artists!!
Hmmm.... I've got a few favorites... Amalie, Requiem for a Dream, The Lord of the Rings, The 10th Kingdom, Kill Bill, Sixteen Candles ... anything with Drew Barrymore, I love the cynical comedy movies too, and sometimes the sappy girly ones, I like the good thriller ones like Silence of the Lambs style, I'm sure there are some others too... never been one to go to the full priced movie theatres, always waiting until it comes out for rental.
Not much for watching TV... haven't owned a television in close to 3 years... I do watch it occasionally when I am at someone else's house... overall, though, I think television encourages consumerism brainwashing, so I try to avoid it... would prefer to keep my thoughts as my own.
It's important to read. Read everything you can. Expand your mind.
My friends are my heroes, and my family... I think of how the people around me have been through and overcome so many things, yet they stay positive and remain good and true. That makes a hero to me. Someone who can stay true to the people around them.
