Connor Emms was Born in 1970 in The West Midlands, England . Since the age of 9 Music has been his first love .. At first he took to the drums but then realised the guitar and singing /songwriting was to be his trait.
Over the years Connor has been involved in various bands ... at present Connor is Vocalist and guitarist with UK Rockers Headspeed ! However, since the age of 15 he's also been involved with other bands ... The first being Chaser ... As young lads Connor and Dez (Drummer with headspeed and the loudest Drummer you would ever wish to meet!) set out to be the best they could and still to this day they still share the same dream ... Then came Prophecy. As dual guitars ripped it up ,Prophecy was way ahead of it's time ... Along side Good friends Andy Mills and Sie Babb, Connor learnt the art of songwriting and Prophecy Guitarist Andy Mills Pretty much showed Connor the ropes to be being an accomplished player ... Sadly Prophecy split when Connor was only 19! Picked back up by his good friend Dez Wootton, Connor was once again back in a band, this time being melodic rockers Pride! They were to be a totally different style to what he had ever played before and it has to be said, some of the best times he's ever had in a band .. Alongside Dez was Dave Bickley (another songwriter gem), Lee Small (one of the finest vocalists around) and on Bass duties was Jon Hayward ... Pride did ok opening up for some big names at the time like UK classic rockers Thunder ... However, it wasn't to be, and once again it was time for change .... Good time rockers Peoplekind came next, giving Connor many a great moment and his first shot at singing , alongside long time pals Rob Grosvenor , Steve Walton , Chris Walton and Paul Whewell.Peoplekind penned some great songs and released a cd titled 'Without You' ... Connor is still very proud of how far this band went .... Native Cain were to be Connor's next project. As main guitarist, Connor helped write the album 'Primitive Soul', alongside Lee , Dez and Jon. It all started well but Lee departed soon after the release of the album on Pro-active Records and Connor gave it a shot at singing again.Eventually Native Cain slowly evolved into Headspeed and with the release of 'Blueprint for Disaster', Headspeed soon picked up fans and have shared the stage with many great bands ... There was to be a line up change with Rich Wiliams and Chris Walton joining existing members Connor and Dez on lead guitar and bass respectively. With their New release 'Reborn' Headspeed are to set the pace once again ...
