You *as a girl* are more than an equation of tits + ass + sex. You *as a guy* are more than a helpless bystander who can't help fight sexism because of your gender. Let's put the blame not on individuals, but on our capitalist-worshipping society who will do anything to make a dollar. Let's not simply say "It's their CHOICE to pose/strip/whatever" but ask WHY those are many women's only options to make a decent living--or feel good about themselves. Let's wake up to the fact that "punk porn" sites are not doing anything revolutionary or punk by any means. What's fucking punk rock about supporting a multi-BILLION dollar industry that makes it's money [literally] off the backs of females? What happened to being against the exploitation of ANY human being? Are girls with tattoos and piercings suddenly exempt? Is exploitation ok just because the girl made a few bucks? Fuck that. Suicide Girls isn't sex, it's imagery. It's old-fashioned objectification, but self-described as the modern day sexual revolution (The road to empowerment is by.....playing into the typical, mainstream male fantasy??? That doesn't make any sense!) Suicide Girls is a foul business that takes advantage of it's models, and pays them shit money while they reap in all the profits. And it's not just Suicide Girls, but a majority of the "alt-porn" genre that I find completely insulting to our scene. No one -especially punks- should be supporting these types of businesses! Besides, that shit isn't revolutionary or breaking ANY new boundaries of what's considered "sexy" in our society as they claim--anyone can see it's the same old, tired T&A schlock but with a Hot Topic make-over.
