About Me
Charlotte Haesen is a talented singer of twenty years old. She's now a second year student of the Jazz Conservatorium of Maastricht where she gets singing lessons with Suzanne Schneider (DE), Esmee Borg (NL) and Sabine Kuelich (DE). Soon she'll be leaving to study music in Amsterdam. Every year she joins The Dworp jazz master classes worshops were she gets lessons from great musicaians such as Doctor Gloria Cooper (NY) Christina Fuchs (DE) and Justin Binck (PH). But she also followed masterclasses and gat lessons with Bobby McFerrin, Sheila Jordan, Mike Rossi, the Duet, Norbert Gottschalk, Maria Joao, Sylvie Lane, Sophie Verbruggen and many more.Thanks to her journeys in the conservatorium already, she learnes to know the most crazy and fine people whom, by becoming her friends, show her how to turn into a happy and real musician full of tenderness for music, the most incredible way of communication.Charlotte Haesen is member of quite some bands.
To start with her own Vocal Jam session that she organizes every Thursday evening in Cafe de Belsj, where singers are welcome to perform together with her.
She has got a duo with the guitarist Allexander Badiarov called Chalex were she sings traditional jazz standarts.
She is the leader of the Charlotte Haesen Quintet. Today composed by young students of the conservatorium of Maastricht ; Greg Torunski (sax), Cha (vocals+leader), Sven Heinze (piano), Johannes Vos (bass) and Samuel Reissen (drums).
Since short she is a member of the great band LISHI. With Sebastian Ulner (guitar), Malte Hager (bass), Pieter Schoonderwoerd (drums), Cha and Klaus Rutten (vocals + vocal effects, acting, composing); This mixture of five friends passionnated by the real senses of music make wonders by putting themselves into all kind of styles. Not afraid to show themselves as they are they will make you travel from jazz standards, pop and rock classics to their own compositions.Charlotte also played with musicians like Matt Scheffer, Arne van Coillie, Frank Giebels, Jean Haesen, Ron Van Stratum, Roman Korolik, Lodewijk Van Der Pol, Andre Klenes, Serge Lazarevitch, Pierre Vianna, Norbert Gottschalk and many other great and lovefull musicians.
