About Me

Does it bother you that when you look in the local paper, you only see requests for planning permission, or toothy infant-school children holding up paintings next to awkward looking local politicians? WHERE is the culture do you cry? WHERE are the ridiculously fun local events? Well look no further...
Skip to the 'End is a COOL fanzine based in Southend-on-Sea and aims to give a comprehensive guide to what's on in the local area (including gigs and films), but not without stories, poems, illustrations, rants, and anything else you might want to read while you are on the bus/in the queue in the Post Office/on the loo etc etc.
I think you will like it it is nice.
If you would like anything listed in our fanzine, be it a gig of your musical marvellousness, or a comedy night of your amazing hilarity, or your bi-monthly swinger's party...no, wait. Not that. But yes! Anything else! Please drop us a line and you will see your name in print and we can all celebrate the wonder of Southend's prolific creative masters. Free stuff will be involved. Everyone loves free stuff.

We love to cut and paste!

Music:

OOH now this is where we all get a bit excited. We all love music a bit too much. Which is good! The fanzine ladies dig everything from folk to film soundtracks and punk to funk, but it's the local music that Skip to the 'End is all about...not in a scary League of Gentlemen way though...
Check out Chris Davison, Deferred Sucess, Clare Blackman, Sophie Burrows, Dirty Fairies, The BiG, Caleb, Cocoma, Art Group, millions more to be added later...

Books:

For a preview of what we do, see littlenobody.com for a fancy-pants turny-page thing. Yes.

Heroes:

Tim Bisley.
