I'm probably going to get a lot of slack for what I'm about to say, but you know what.. It needs to be said. I have every right in the world to speak up on this particular irritant because I'm a part of this industry and I'm frustrated with how my genre of modeling is being represented...First of all, Plus size 'models' out there.. You can have a website, you can be a webmodel, you can appear in magazines, you can make your own videos, sell your lingerie, you can SELL whatever you desire to make money IF that's your bottom line.. But please do the rest of us legitimate models a favor and at least ATTEMPT to go about it all with some amount of tact and CLASS...Yes, Men want to see what we're going to do, how we're posed, they're going to pay attention to the particular attributes that make them our patrons. However, this should not be the reason you're modeling! It should be because you are trying to help solve the issue in society where people think plus size women can't be just as sensual, sexy, intelligent, and down right beautiful!We are only allowing those particular individuals, media groups, and industry execs to look at us and say, "This genre is simply smutt, that's all they are good for." You personally, may not feel that you're representing Plus Size modeling in a negative manner but let me ask you this.. Does your mother approve of the photos you have on the websites? Do you have to hide this part of your life from your family and co-workers? If you said yes to any... You are part of the problem!I understand that there aren't many avenues for those of us who want our representations in the modeling world to be classy but perhaps if we started demanding better portrayals of the plus size lady, maybe more companies would divert from the perverted gyno shoots and nipple tweaking shots and focus more on the natural beauty??If you enjoy doing pornography and you're plus size, I'd love it if you'd stop getting what you are doing as 'modeling' and just call yourself what you are, "pornstar" but please stop calling yourselves models. Unless you are a diehard for ensuring that you are represented in the most classy as possible situation, if you refuse to do more than you agree to do for the sake of being a role model for OTHER plus size women, then you shouldn't call yourself a model.I'm not downing ANYONE for what it is that drives them to make their money. I'm simply saying stop associating yourself with those of us who are simply trying to bring some positive feedback into the world of plus size women. Sure, there is nothing wrong with sexuality, and there's nothing wrong with enjoying the sex involved with a lot of websites/videos but don't let what YOU want to be RUIN IT for those of us who have decided to not fall into that severely limited world.Granted, I'm not going to be traumatized economically from the poor representations out there. I have a college education, a job and a few hustles (all legit lol) I'm just sick of people seeing THIS plus size model and assuming I'm going to behave in the same manner as the last female. No sir, that's not me.I have a high amount of self respect and I know my worth. I know that I do NOT have to be a sex symbol for you in order to be a beautiful person. I know that I don't have to stick objects in every orifice and sell webcam shows just to make money.. some things just are not for sale.To those plus size ladies out there that are doing the damn thing and doing it with some tact, some class... Kudos to you all and I appreciate you!
