I think I covered this already, but: collecting cult films and memorobilia (I have a MASSIVE VHS collection, and a respectable start on DVD's), as well as classic Honky-Tonk/Easy Listening/Soundtracks on vinyl. And Western clothing, don't forget Western clothing.
Anybody as fascinated with cult movies as I am.
I play in Lisa & Her Kin, a classic Honky-Tonk styled Country & Western band here in PDX. My musical interests are far and wide (I worship at the altars of Jimi Hendrix AND Alice Cooper, as well as Buck Owens and George Jones), but this is pretty much where I'm at.
Everything from Peter Sellers (THE PARTY is an all-time fave) to FOR Y'UR HEIGHT ONLY (Weng Weng!) and THE STABILIZER. I'm all about the obscure and bizarre.
Don't watch a lot of broadcast TV, but THE SIMPSONS always satisfy. I also like a lot of the HBO series like 6 FEET UNDER and CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM which I am just getting into. And old SCTV episodes!
Basically anything pertaining to my other interests, especially cult film books like IMMORAL TALES, MONDO MACABRO, INCREDIBLY STRANGE FILMS and of course the two PSYCHTRONIC books.
Jimi Hendrix, Buck Owens, Don Rich, George Jones, Ray Price, Merle Haggard, Roy Nichols, Speedy West, Jimmy Bryant, Larry Collins, Redd Volkaert, Bill Kirchen, Grady Martin, Les Paul, the list goes on.
