KINETO

Ever so slightly demented.

About Me

Kineto was founded by bassist and composer Dan Menapace. The original incarnation, including current vocalist Forest Huggins and drummer Noah Appleton, was the San Francisco Bay Area band known as B-Phase. After a few years of writing music and playing shows all around the Bay Area, the original guitarist chose to pursue other interests, and the remaining members elected to take a much-needed break from the local music scene. During this respite, Dan, Forest and Noah continued to write new material for a potential new hard rock project, while Dan also continued work as his alter ego, the electronic explorations of Suboculis . By the summer of 2003, Dan began working with guitarist Rick Audet, who was a long-time acquaintance and fan of the B-Phase days. It took no time to realize that Rick was the missing piece to the puzzle, delivering his inventive noise guitar and precision fretwork to the mix. Regrouping with the vocal weirdness of Forest Huggins and solid grooves brought by Noah Appleton, the foursome finished work on the new material as well as some re-working of older songs, creating the definitive sound that is Kineto .
