About Me

I am utterly in love <3 <3 <3 with James Elliott Lyle.I'm crazy about animals.I'm a music lover--I'm learning how to play my 24th instrument now, and play with a couple of regional bands

My Interests

It would take page after page just to begin to list all my interests, but here is a somewhat truncated list:ANIMALS! CREATURES! If it lives and moves I'm into it. I particularly adore squirrels, monkeys, seahorses, octopii, owls, foxes, reptiles, & insects.MUSIC! I LIKE to listen, but LOVE to play. I probably devote more time to the fiddle/violin and the pedal harp these days than any other instruments, but I also enjoy messing around with my Hello Kitty electric axe (thanks Doodle!), the piano, and the bass guitar.PHILOSOPHY & THEOLOGY! Can't read enough on these subjects. I enjoy discussing these with others, especially if the discussors happen to be reasonably well-versed, (and not JUST argumentative in nature)... ASTROPHYSICS (including theoretical)! Thankfully I have a rocket-scientist brother-in-law who has helped me cultivate this fascination.FOREIGN LANGUAGES! I know bits and pieces of six foreign tongues, and continue to study Danish (the language of my ancestors) and French. Dansk er dejlig! Français, c'est magnifique.HELLO KITTY! I have HK clothes, stationery, stickers, an HK Fender electric, etc. etc. etc. Next I wanna get the HK toaster.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who loves animals, music, philosopy...
moar funny picturesThe squirrel in the video is Baby Runt--my favorite squirrel among the ones in our yard. I'm handing him walnuts.Freddie T. Squirrel graciously helped me figure out how to get it on my page (I'm sort of an ignoramus at times)! Thanks, Freddie!

Music:

Classical music (particularly Mozart and Chopin) and rock music (all kinds--pop, new wave, alternative, punk, etc.) are my favorite genres, but I appreciate well-crafted music of any kind. Some of my favored musicians/groups: SKELETON STAFF (stunning!) ELO, Bryan Duncan, P.D.Q. Bach Danny Elfman (his soundtracks are impressive & his rock is great), The Other Ones (German group, not the 'Dead-head group), The Visiting Kids, News, Newsboys, Incubus, Re-Flex, Blondie, Weird Al Yankovic, Nik Kershaw, Tue West, Tony Vincent, Aztec Camera, Yes, Lena Lovich, Sneakers, Todd Rundgren and Utopia, Jars of Clay, Bourgeois Tagg, Brent Bourgeois, Larry Tagg, The Tubes, Crumbacher, Undercover, Beatles, George Harrison, Buzzcocks, Dead Kennedys, Adrian Belew, Wang Chung, Thomas Dolby, Earth, Wind and Fire, Phil Keaggy, B-52s, early INXS, The English Beat, Madness, Specimen, Cheap Trick, Donnie Iris, The Outfield, Naked Eyes, Talk Talk, Supertramp, Thompson Twins, Duran Duran, and my all-time favorite female vocalist: K. Lee

Movies:

Some of my favored movies: ROTLA, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars (6-1), Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Buckaroo Banzai, Wallace and Gromit, Young Frankenstein, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Mystery Men, The Fifth Element, Three Amigos, Star Trek movies, Marx Brothers movies, Napoleon Dynamite, 10th Kingdom, Spinal Tap, A Mighty Wind...clever comedies, slapstick and sci-fi/adventure flicks in general, Xanadu, Sally Cruikshank films, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Dark City, Top Secret, Unbreakable, Jackie Chan flix, Die Hard flix, Lethal Weapon flix

Television:

I Love watching old Little Rascals and Three Stooges episodes. Svengoolie is fabulously fun (and perfect for punsters). I'm still enjoying re-runs of Seinfeld and, more recently, Everybody Loves Raymond. Babylon 5 was good...still like watching the re-runs. Ren and Stimpy! SpongeBob Squarepants! King of the Hill is laugh-out-loud for me because I happen to know everyone in the cast!!! MST3K is terrific, too. For a short while I got into Smallville. CSI: Miami has been interesting... Lost and Heroes have been downright intriguing.

Books:

The Bible, C.S. Lewis' books (both fiction and non-fiction), Douglas' Adams' trilogy, G.K. Chesterton's books, Tolkien, George MacDonald, Francis Schaeffer's books; Far Side, Foxtrot, Peanuts, and Matt Groening collections, almost anything on theoretical physics, Zippy the Pinhead comix

Heroes:

GOD--Jesus Christ, my parents, my siblings, my husband, and K. Lee--these are the heroes I know personally. Additionally, Christian martyrs, and our armed forces.
