WHAT DO WE DO AT CHECKEMLADS.COM

Since 2004 we have been supporting young men with testicular cancer by phone, email and hospital and home visits. We have been to schools, army camps and places of work with intresting down to earth some what "ladish" talks to men and women about this cancer. Most lads do survive testicular cancer but they face the ongoing fear of the cancer coming back. emotional stress of feeling less of a man because they may have a hormone based illness after which we are trying to get more info to the survivor. The nhs does not at the moment address the low-testosterone illness after testicular cancer which can lead to health problems later on in life.with the support of Steve White and many of his friends and family, Ian Edminson web designer and now backing from versuscancer.org who are a music based charity set up by Andy Rourke from the smiths and Nova rehman who lost his dear sister to cancer recently. Getting cancer awareness to young people is the job of survivors and is some what ignored by the big charities due to cost and red-tape of political corectness. Checkemlads.com throws all that bollocks in the bin and just goes for it, with the odd telling off after which we don't care about as we know we have maybe saved one or two lives after our talks.one or two people really do care about what we do and do offer help and we thank them for there help.a survivor tells it better than anyone and a survivor gets the message home so we try to keep our selves down to earth.
I am philly, i am 35 and had cancer. i was shocked, lost ,alone there was no support for men online who had cancer or some one to talk to who had the same cancer, this made it worse. I met steve white one of my idols and we started checkemlads.comslowly we are getting support out to men and lads who need it.. also education is the key to early detection.WE DEDICATE OUR EFFORTS TO THOSE WHO HAVE LOST TO THIS ILLNESS AND RESPECT ALL WHO HELP OR GO OUT OF THERE WAY TO HELP OTHERS.
