Influences: this covers everything you can think of... I grew up with parents who liked Barry Manilow, Neil Diamond, Billy Joel, Elton John, Judy Garland, Babara Cook, the Carpenters, Michael Franks, Dave Brubeck, Little Feat, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, the Beatles, Michael Jackson, Maureen McGovern, Quincy Jones, Nina Simone, Karrin Allison, Liz Story, Joseph Rojo, Yanni, Enya, Tower of Power, Michel Camilo, Brecker Brothers, Harry Connick Junior, Sting, Elvis Presley, Barbara Streisand, John Williams, Lea Salonga and more. I also heard lots of classical music, movie soundtracks, and Broadway musicals growing up. Some of my all time favorite musicals are "They’re Playing Our Song", "A Chorus Line", "Rent", "Pippin", and "Wicked"... There’s many more, too, but those are the top that came to mind.
As for me, I LOOOOVVVEEEEE all music... The only kind I really dislike is music with a lot o profanity, especially since music is one of the most beautiful gifts given to us by our Creator. So on to my music list. Who has influenced me? pretty much any music I’ve ever heard... it’s tough to pick favorites because of my mood or what’s going on that day... I’ll fill this section in more as time goes on... Just know - if you’ve written music, and I’ve heard it - it’s inlfuenced me.
