Stop and Listen
To The Animals
Welcome! This page is designed exclusively for fellow animal lovers! Its purpose will be different for each person who views this page, whether that may be to learn more about our endangered species, to be a more educated pet owner, to find a way to help out animals in your own community, or just to look at all the cool pics- but regardless, it will help to educate others (especially children!) and develop a deeper awareness and understanding concerning animal issues! Also, if you are an organization, I am willing to help promote your site by posting your logo or banner, (it must be animal/wildlife related)- so just let me know!!My name is Colleen and I am a 21 year-old South Florida student. I work full time in a retail pharmacy, and part time at PETSMART!! I love the beach, and I try to spend as much time outdoors as possible!! Camping is among my favorite things to do, besides attending as many REPTILE shows as possible with my best friend Jen. I rarely have free time, and I enjoy traveling with an extreme passion. (However, nothing can compete with my passion for ALL ANIMALS.) I have always had a pet since the day I was born...from cats to hamsters to snakes and frogs. I currently have two ball pythons, a male (Jafar) and a female (Ariel), two red-eared sliders (turtles, named Squirtle and Crawl), a calico cat (Jingles), and a black Labrador (Jasmine). Who knows how many animal I’ll have adopted in 10 years from now, but I assume I’ll need a large house with an enormous amount of property. ;-) Many of the pictures I have uploaded are of my own pets, (and they will be labeled) and many of them are from zoos, farms, Busch Gardens, Animal Kingdom, or any other random place I have been to over the years. I am obsessed with my camera, and animals are my favorite subjects to photograph (of course) :-)My goal to maintain this page is to post as many local AND national animal issues as possible, so that you may be able to get involved and help out even if you do not live in the Tampa area...or even in Florida.. Plus, “getting involved†can range from adopting an abused pet, donating your time or money to a cause for animals (be careful to research the organization first), refusing to purchase cosmetics or any item that has been tested on animals, or simply taking your kids to the zoo so they can see for themselves the beauty of the wild! And if you’re as busy as I am, and you don’t have much time to rescue endangered animals, volunteer at a pet shelter, or save the world, it’s OK. You have already made my day just by viewing this page, and I hope that when you log off, you have already learned something new. If everyone could be more aware of all the animal issues that are occurring in our own backyards, (literally!) the world would be a much better place!! Please do not hesitate to click the “add†button if you enjoy what you see on this page, and, if you have children or siblings, feel free to share the pictures and information with them! Thank you for taking your time to view this page! Also, to see a larger version of (most) pictures on this page, click on the actual picture and a larger version will open up.
