About Me

.....
please... read a book. or learn to play an instrument, or paint a picture. or even just go for a walk, in solitude or with friends. this flickering box has become the worlds opiate, systematically dulling the i.q.s of it's populous and creating a perfect breeding ground in which to develop these dystopian futures over which i obsess... read a book. and learn a second language for fuck's sake. if we don't learn to speak to the world then it will inevitably no longer speak to us.
i digress...
the first track on the player above, entitled "dead swallows line the path laid with poisoned bread crumbs. it is they who will guide us home", was laid down in late 2003 as a sketch with little intent of ever seeing the light of day. though it is still a sketch and far from completion, i have reworked it to a semi-cohesive state...
the second track, "I begin by taking. I shall find scholars later to demonstrate my perfect right" (a quote of euripides) was written sometime in 2004. neither this track, nor "dead swallows", had a home until the summer of 2006 when the idea was formed and the concept for the Anti-Human League began to take shape.
the third track, "maria in darkness, i was told, the inner light exposed." was put to paper in early july of 2007. it is the first track written specifically for the Anti-Human League and commemorates the memory of my maternal grandparents.
the last piece, "and so we slept as the world moved on without us", is still just a sketch and far from complete. this is a reworking of a song idea that i had way back in '96.
at current, the Anti-Human League is still in its birthing process. most of the material thus far is still in sketch form. over the next six months i hope to refine its sound and thereafter began the process of release.
more writings and music will soon follow.
