I've finally finished this and it's scheduled for release on March 18, 2008. Other recent projects include producing LA band The 88 as well as touring this year with both Sia and the Blue Nile. Can't do better than that! I've also started my next CD, working on tracks with Celia Chavez, Moceanworker and Gabriel Gordon. Got a Raul Campos remix coming as well. Very exciting.I started in New York doing live sound and recording at CBGB's in it's prime with bands ranging from Blondie, the Ramones, Patti Smith and Television through the Dead Boys and The New York Dolls. At the same time I was in the studio engineering records for mentors such as Steve Lillywhite, Phil Ramone, Gary Katz and Russ Titelman with artists like Paul Simon, Donald Fagen, Billy Joel, Material and Chaka Khan. I toured a lot, mixing front of house sound internationally for a variety of acts including Laurie Anderson, Suzanne Vega, Shawn Colvin, The B-52's, The Church, The Blue Nile and Cyndi Lauper but my main focus is on finding new artists, developing their careers and producing their albums as well as producing live performance recordings and broadcasts.I've also enjoyed working as Technical Producer of many special events, handling all aspects of live audio, broadcast audio and recording. I'm lucky to be very involved with Santa Monica's KCRW (kcrw.com), one of the most well respected radio stations around. My role as a producer of their annual "A Sounds Eclectic Evening" includes performances by artists such as Beck, Norah Jones, Beth Orton, Shelby Lynne, Zero 7, Kinky and others. Last year the featured artist for the show and recording was Coldplay with many special guests. This year we had Franz Ferdinand, Death Cab for Cutie, Ben Harper, Gomez, Sia and Feist. I'm also a producer of the critically lauded Shortlistofmusic Award that has included similar broadcasts and recordings of the show for MTV and XMRadio with a great variety of artists including Damien Rice, Interpol, N.E.R.D., Bright Eyes, Sigur Ros TV on the Radio and Cat Power.
