6 Degrees to Make a Difference

I am here for Networking

About Me

COME BE A PART OF OUR MYSPACE GROUP! http://groups.myspace.com/6DegreesToMakeADifference
'6 Degrees to Make a Difference' was started by me ~ Heather ~ as a way for my friends to combine their resources to network to make a difference in this world.
The main purpose of '6 Degrees' is to help people find something they can be passionate about, excited to help out with, eager to be involved with.... kinda like networking with the purpose of making the world an over~all better place.
I see so many of my friends doing wonderful things, like marathons and fundraiser, and posting bulletins that just get pushed to the bottoms of the myspace masses by surveys & chain letters. This way, they will always all be in one place, and everyone will have a place to go to to find ways to do some pretty cool stuff in this world. Rather than waste time on myspace doing another or taking another quiz to find out what cartoon character you're most like, we can actually make a difference in the lifes of others.
It's so many great & unique ways to help others, donating money is the least of which! You know that bathroom cabinet you have full of shampoos & soaps from hotels? A battered women's shelter in your area could really use that to help cleanse women & children who had to flee their homes suddenly.
You know your closet full of prom clothes, bridesmaid dresses and old work clothes that don't fit? Well they could all be put to really good use on kids who can't afford a nice prom, or homeless people who don't have nice clothes for job interviews.
'6 Degrees to Make a Difference' will show you where to go to do all of that and more!
The name '6 Degrees to Make a Difference' is based on the concept that everyone in the world is connected by 6 people. In other words, if you were to think of anyone in this world, no matter how famous, you know someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows them personally.
You can find a ton of cool stuff in the myspace group I made. There's a place for people to promote themelves and their fundarising efforts, a place to ask for volunteers for event, and links to a whole bunch of websites that allow you to be a hero without ever getting up from your computer. All kinds of causes will be represented: cancer, abuse, children, animals, etc. Take a minute, check it out, and please share this website with your friends!
Save The World - One Click At A Time!
On each of these websites, you can click a button to support the cause -- each click creates funding, and costs you nothing! Bookmark these sites, and click once a day!
