About Me

My name is Ashley, I am a recovering self injurer and the owner and operator of this website. There are many things to say "about me" I just don't know where to begin. Many ask, where this page came from, why did I start it? There are many reasons why I started this page. Initially this page was made, as a 'visual aid' for a speech I gave at a local college "About Self Injury" . (I am currently going to college for Psychology) When over 200 people added me within that first couple of weeks, I realized just how many people out there needed someone to talk to, and I kept this page, long after my speech was completed that day. This page, comes from compassion and empathy. I can relate to the struggle of self injury, I self injured for many years, myself, to the point of hospitalizations. I also spent many years dealing with an eating disorder and drug addiction. Started treatment in 2004. I no longer cut, starve, or abuse drugs to deal... My life is completely different, and I am thankful, and Im here as an outlet for anyone else struggling like I did, I find that many of your stories are so very similar to mine, and I just want you to feel like you are not ALONE, in this struggle. Im here to talk. Any questions, comments, message or comment me ANYtime.Myspace Layout Stealer

Just a Note...
Its ME- Ash =D Just wanted to remind you, that I am checking in as often as possible. I work and have college full time (have to keep up the grades). And just like many of you, I also have my own treatment/therapy etc etc etc... (we are in this together) So time, as you can imagine is quite limited. I just want to encourage all of you, to reach out for ALL your resources if you are struggling. If you feel that you are in danger please contact local emergency proffessionals, as my page does not have the capability to be a suicide prevention/hotline. I can relate with the struggle.... trust me, I can. I love you all, Thinking of YOU. -smile-
