[noun]:
a hermit living in the big city; also a lewd street performer
'How will you be defined in the dictionary?' at QuizGalaxy.comQuick Summation: I'm 26, and still without a degree... I study Literature, Journalism, and Spanish. Someday, I hope to "live by my pen," but, for the time being, I work at a movie theater, where I sell tickets and get to stand in a tiny booth for hours at a time all alone, which gives me lots of time to think and read and write. It's pretty much like I imagine heaven will be. Except they might pay better in Heaven.

My Interests

They are numerous and varied. Here are a few: concerts, photos, reading, writing, coffee, vinyl, circus freaks, green tea, pink, daydreaming, kissing pretty dirty rocker boys on the cheek, movies, polaroids, making things, music magazines (Magnet, Dummy, NME, The Face, etc etc) -- and plenty more, but this is enough for now. Oh, and I semi-recently discovered Guinness ice cream.

I'd like to meet:

Bowie, Morrissey, Prince, and pretty much anyone else who is known by a single name.

Music:

Watch this -- best Beatles song ever... And at about 55 secs, watch Lennon's eyebrows. They fascinate me: .....Now watch this cover of the same song [Sean Lennon, Rufus Wainwright, and Robert Carmine Schwartzman].....And, here is my favorite cover by one my favorite bands:.......Make sure to buy this when it comes out:The last CD I bought was "Writer's Block" by Peter, Bjorn, and John. I've been meaning to get it for quite some time, but now it's official, I'm happy to say. A fabulous, nearly-flawless album. ..................................................Old favorites and new obsessions can usually be found here:

Movies:

I'll fill in more as I think of them.

Television:

My favorite shows are usually canceled after one season [Freaks & Geeks, The Oblongs, and Get Real, to name a few], and I hate re-runs, so I rarely watch TV, and I get pissed off when they show the same episodes the two times I decide to watch a show. However, I was addicted to "Heroes" and am really excited for Season 2 to begin in September. HBO shows [Entourage, Flight of the Concords, Six Feet Under] rock, too, but we don't have HBO, sadly. I also dig this magic man:

Books:

I need new books!!! I've been re-reading a lot, but I want something new to spark my interest, so, recommends are welcome anytime............ I recently finished re-reading "Gone with the Wind," and, because it's October, for the zillionth time, "I Am Legend." ............................... Kingsley Amis said it best: "If you can't annoy sombody, there's little point in writing." I like a lot of twisted, contemporary urban fiction like Chuck Palahniuk, Bret Easton Ellis, and Irvine Welsh... Roddy Doyle, Stacy Horn, Nick Hornby, Mark Lindquist, Tim Sandlin, Helen Ellis, Laurie Notaro, David Sedaris, Dave Eggars, Kingsley and Martin Amis, Elizabeth Wurtzel, JT Leroy, Hubert Selby, Jr., Arthur Nersessian (I'm sure I spelled that wrong, sorry Art), Susanna Kaysen, etc., etc. - this list could take all day, trust me. I like good sci-fi and horror, and pretty much any theology books. Also, I am unapologetically addicted to Meg Cabot (The Princess Diaries books). And NME, Under the Radar, DIW, Dummy, and The Face magazines. I like graphic novels and comics, too. I'm also addicted to some of the classics: Hemingway, Melville, Wilde, Eliot, and Faulkner, to name a few....... "There are worse crimes than burning books. One of them is not reading them." -Ray BradburyThis picture was taken by John W. Clark. I stole it from a website, but not without giving the credit. That's okay, isn't it?

Heroes:

My parents, my friends, Chuck Palahniuk, the Pixel Panda boys, Lillian Berlin, and Jack Daniels.
