About Me

Mable was born in 2007, created by the songwriting team of James Notaro and James Stahon. The duo has an extensive history of writing and performing together, releasing two independent records, and sharing the stage with the Legendary Wailers, Rich Robinson (the Black Crowes), Chris Hartford and Mike Ferris (the Screaming Cheetah Wheelies). In 2008, Stahon and Notaro were joined by guitarist Mike Askin, bassist Gary MacDougall, and drummer Ron DiFrenza. Their lineup complete, Mable released Stay At Home Circus, a seven song EP that serves up a diverse collection of recordings. The band has begun gigging in support of their debut and is already building a devoted following.Mable’s unique style of rock combines progressive lyrical styles with subtle country undertones. Notaro and Stahon take their inspiration from day to day life. “I feel that the music we write is identifiable in a non-deliberate way” says Notaro. “Most of the songs we write are about, or inspired by events in our lives, hopefully leaving the cliché out and touching base with real human qualities.”As for the name, the band insists it is open to the listener’s interpretation.I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
