..Above all, Ballyvourney is a name taken by Irish place, in particular related to an ancient Irish Fairy Tale, this was a wild place beyond the mountains. Ballyvourney begins at 14 to play keyboards, he was attracted by new age and electronic music. At 18, first time, he know the Celtic music by a CD; and since that listening he found himself and a true inspiration. This excellent music style allow to him to found all about this genre, he study musical instruments, culture, costumes; all about the Celts, however, he’s a complete self-taught person.Today he uses powerful synthesizers, kantele, psalteries and percussions to paint a mix of traditional folk and modern celtic style music. He call his music "Celtic Ambient-Fantasy Music", a quite inusual term for to describe it. He love ’visual’ music, a music who describe , perhaps, a story or a legend. He take inspiration by different ’celtic’ style of music, like music for dancing, like jigs, reels ecc. but also by early music from renaissance and middle age, but with a right contamination of modern electronic sounds.He says " for me, the acoustic instruments are the part which describe the earthly things, the material things, but the electronic sounds are perfect to describe spiritual things, the immagination, or the part more invisible of the life. Bringing together this two part could be satisfacting, because together are complete; other this, however, my music is relatively simple, because the complexity is no much relaxing to the mind, only in some case i can use some track more complex to describe some particular important concept..."Nowadays, his project is bring together folk music, legend, stories and make coming it true and live, because there’s no present and no future, without the past.The electronic sounds, however, are much important, because in the modern era, the global visionary of the people is transported by ethereal and synthetic sounds, and this sounds cannot be reproducted only by a simply acoustic instrument.He says, "The electronic sounds have the important rule of inspire the imagination, the fantasy, and relaxing the mind and the heart; this union with the acoustic instruments is essential to realizing my mind vision... before i compose a track, i close my eyes and put myself in the center of the vision of the story, legend or event that i would like describe; i make like ’a movie’ in my mind, and following this ’movie’, i composing my tracks."In next days, he will become also an ’actor’ in some of his musical video, fully producted by himself, which tell ancient or modern stories and concept, obviosly with his music background...Other this, he is a good photographer, video-maker, painter; he llove internet and musical software, books, craftmanship, and more. He love Renaissance Faires and Shows and Feasts in storic ambientation, ancient monuments and relics, castles and the mysteries. More important, he is much intimate with the nature and the rural things.
