Suicide Opera (VOTE @ FAMECAST FOR TOP 10 TODAY)

SUICIDE OPERA was formed in 2006 after the falling out of FACEDOWN FTW. David McClanahan and Mikey Frank first joined together in 2000 and formed the band SOLITARY CONFINEMENT with several others and started the writing process. Things started slowly due to the fact that Mikey moved from guitar to drums, and David from drums to vocals. SOLITARY CONFINEMENT continued writing and recorded a 5 song demo with each member playing bass since there wasn't one. After completion of the demo and a few shows under their belt they brought in a bass player to pick up the bass duties. In late 2002 one of the guitarist left and they continued on under the name FACEDOWN FTW. However the former member returned in summer of 2003 followed by a loss of another due to personal reasons. By 2004 the band felt they had a solid line up and recorded the full length album "A NEW BREED OF METAL." In early 2005 they lost another member of FACEDOWN FTW for family reasons. Josh Henderson arrived to complete the line up playing guitar. With a line up the band felt was solid, 2006 seemed like a year for things to happen. Unfortunately the things that happened left the band with the loss of their bass player. Like clockwork the band immediately found Bobby Tennison to play bass, and shortly after had to replace their guitarist, and recruited Jason Stevens. The follow up was still none to celebrating for they again lost another member, and Trent Hill was given the role of keyboard and samples. Throughout the rest of 2006 and into 2007 the newly acquainted musicians began writing new material, as well as re-molding their past musical ensemble, when they decided to change their name. On March 31, 2007 the 6 member metal powerhouse introduced themselves to the world, and thus SUICIDE OPERA was born !!! Now a solid line up consisiting of David McClanahan(vocals), Mikey Frank(drums), Josh Henderson(guitar), Bobby Tennison(bass), Jason Stevens(guitar), and Trent Hill(keys/and samples). They have begun to cut the wounds into the local metal scene, as the crowd enters the SUICIDE OPERA !!!
