SKARD SOUL - PLAYING RIDGLEA MAY 23RD AND 30TH!!!

About Me

Skard Soul is a heavy metal band from little fucking Weatherford Texas. Who over the past 7 years have played the local metal scene and made a name for themselves that cannot be denied. With the recent death of their guitar player Jeremy Sisk, the remaining members dug deep down inside themselves and realized that Jeremy would want no different. To carry on his dream. So now Jesse, Justin, Chris and their newest member, Andy, set out in to the scene with a new direction and a new reason to throw down even harder every show for all the Skard Soul fans out there. And that is...
to make their brother proud.

NO GREATER LOVE THAN FOR A BROTHER TO LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS OWN BROTHER
ONLY THE THE GOOD DIE YOUNG 1984-2008
Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008 One dead at scene of shooting By Terry Evans Weatherford Telegram
Weatherford Telegram Weatherford police investigate the scene of a fatal shooting.
Jeremy Ryan Sisk died defending his brother, family and friends said.
Chris Sisk said his brother jumped into a fight when two men who came into his apartment to rob him were beating him up.
“Jeremy took on one of the guys and was pounding him,” Chris Sisk said. “The guy realized he was losing the fight, pulled a gun and shot my brother.”
Weatherford Police Department investigators said the men they are looking for in connection with the Oct. 21 homicide could be members of the Aryan Brotherhood.
Johnny Preston Reed, 37, and Guy Evan Graves, 35, are accused of killing Jeremy Ryan Sisk, 24 of Weatherford, who died from a single gunshot to the face, said Weatherford Police Detective Wendy Field. Reed and Graves may be driving a brown, 1995 Chevrolet extended-cab pickup with a white bed displaying license plate No. 04FZG1.
“Both individuals are considered armed and dangerous,” said WPD Capt. Greg Lance. “Anyone coming into contact with these two individuals is asked to use caution and contact their local authorities immediately.” Weatherford police were called at 11:34 a.m. Oct. 21 to the Woodbridge Apartments in the 200 block of West Bridge Street.
William “Willie” Sisk said his youngest son was in the living room of Chris Sisk’s apartment when he heard a commotion and walked into the bedroom to see what was happening.
“He did what any brother would do when he sees two guys beating up on him, he jumped in,” Willie Sisk said. “They don’t get much better than Jeremy. He was a righteous guy. He came to the defense of his brother and took a bullet for it.”
Jesse Herringer, who said he was Jeremy Sisk’s best friend, said that he “was one of the coolest, funnest guys to be with. There was never a dull moment with Jeremy.”
Herringer said he is the singer in the heavy metal band Skard Soul, for which Chris Sisk plays drums and Jeremy Sisk was lead guitar.
Shasta Rubrecht, a family friend who took publicity photos for the band, said that Jeremy Sisk was at his brother’s apartment watching movies with his girlfriend, Laura Pederson, when the fight began.
Chris Sisk said the men had come to his apartment the night before.
“They had two pounds of marijuana that their guy was pressing them to sell,” Chris Sisk said. “I saw that one of them had a gun, and told them to get out. I don’t do business with guys who use guns.”
Chris Sisk said the men came back to his apartment about 11 a.m. Oct. 21 and demanded money. “I gave them $100 and told them that’s all I had,” he said.
The two men became upset and attacked, Chris Sisk said. Moments later, Jeremy Sisk intervened, he said.
When he heard the gunshot, Chris Sisk said the man he was struggling with turned to the other and yelled, “Why did you use a gun?”
Both men then ran away, Chris Sisk said.
Herringer said the incident is ironic in its timing, because Jeremy Sisk was turning his life around. “He was just now getting his life straight,” he said. “He was cleaning up.”
Chris Sisk agreed.
“I’m the only one who ever sold drugs,” he said. “Jeremy never sold anything, and he was trying to stop using.”
