MUSICIANS AND EVERYONE ELSE! Send me a message along with your friend request if you really want to be added to my friends. MUSICIANS! I used to be on dial-up, but not anymore. But I still don't have time to listen to all the bands that ask me to add them. If you don't have at least one song for free to download on your myspace page, then I don't know if we can be friends. Consider putting a free download on your page, it's the smart thing to do. I've been on myspace for a while now (longer than you... probably), and if I were adding people willy-nilly, whoever asked me, then I'd have 900,000,000 friends by now. I don't have a gagillion friends, because I don't add everyone who asks me. Because I'm not 11 years old, and desperate to look cool, even to complete strangers that I will never meet. As far as the non-musical friend request goes, I'll add you if I think I might actually want to meet you someday because you sound interesting and we have something in common. BUT, IF YOU'RE PROFILE TAKES ALL DAY TO LOAD, THEN I WON'T BE ADDING YOU, BECAUSE I'M NOT THAT PATIENT. AND ESPECIALLY NOT IF ALL THE CRAP ON YOUR PAGE MAKES MY COMPUTER CRASH. A message to me of some kind is required before I'll consider adding anyone to my friends list. If this makes me sound like a cranky old man, then so be it, I so don't care. I'm tired of the barrage of friend requests. Who would want me to be on their friend's list anyway? Have some pride, people!

If I like your music I will add you, if I have time to listen to your music. If you don't have at least one song to download for free, then I probably won't add you, because that seems stupid and greedy or something. If you are an unknown artist or not so known, why not do what all the now-famous-but-at-one-time-were-completely-unknown and give away your music for free for a while? I swear, it will pay off in the end.

I'm finished with my podcasts. All the bands/artists were kind enough to give me their permission to podcast their tunes. I had to chunk it into 3 pieces because odeo kept crashing on me with an hour-long file. I'll be done making these for a while, for now anyway. I'm onto my next project, a music video/animation, or something.
Each podcast is about 20 minutes, give or take.

There is such a thing as overmilking the suspense.) Also Terry Gilliam and Tim Burton rule. (They rule, you know they do.)

Television:

I'm finding that I'm just not watching too much tv these days as they just keep canceling my favorite shows. I prefer listening to music. But if I am watching t.v., it's mostly the history channel, the science channel, the biography channel... basically I prefer non-fiction, but if a good sci-fi show is on, I'll be watching that.

Books:

Yes, I am a reader. Not really a fiction fan, except for science fiction. I've been a fan of David Sedaris for a while now (probably before you ever heard of him.)

Heroes:

Martin Luther King Jr., Michael Moore, Gandhi, Bill Hicks, Robert Kennedy... hmmm, more when I think about it.
I also hold as my heroes, whistle blowers, some of whom stand to lose everything, friends, family, their job, up to and including their lives, exposing greed and curruption, but they do it anyway.

Plus, the people in uniforms, who protect us daily, those who know what duty is, and what honor is all about, they are my heroes.

Honor and Integrity are extremely rare these days, don'tcha think?
