A convoluted amalgam of dork and dark.

About Me

Brief paragraph? I'm way too complex for brevity. But, let me give it a shot. And I am NOT here to find anybody to date. So, don't have that as a goal or you'll probably be disappointed. Like Macaulay Culkin, I'm kind of at home with being alone. :)
I'm a Pisces out of water. A frustrated creative guy that is on a never-ending quest for people as much like myself as possible. My mind lives partly in Pleasantville and partly in Dark City. This makes me isolated and different. Some call me a complainer. I prefer to think of myself as an editor of pretty much everything in life. I just would like everything to be smarter, better.
I'm an ad agency art director by day and I'm a KJ (karaoke jockey) for a few places by night. For the full schedule click here , as days and times may change.
Generally, I love to sing (mainly 90's, 80's, and current alternative and new rock) , watch movies (see long list below to get an idea what kind), drink coffee, go to concerts, open mics and art galleries. Love to dance (goth, industrial, EBM, trance, new wave, funk, freestyle) too, even though I don't do it much any more. I despise sports and am addicted to certain TV shows (gained most of my morals from shows like I Dream of Jeannie and wanted to grow up to be cool like James West of the Wild Wild West). I used to play role-playing games (Champions, Vampire: The Masquerade) and collect comics, and am still very into that realm, as much as I can be without participating frequently. I have a superhero/paranormal/action/drama TV pilot that I should be writing, but need to get motivated to finish it. I also sing with my friend Uly, who plays acoustic guitar. We do alternative rock covers as Empty Socket . Click the link and add us for scheduled appearances. And last-but-not-least, I have a soon-to-be-in-high-school kid, that's the son my world revolves around. As far as the SUN and the beach, hate 'em. I'm an inside guy.
I often say I have Dorian Gray Matter. Because, in my mind, I'm forever young. And maybe there's a CAT scan hidden away that is withering and turning to dust.

Are You Right- or Left-Brained?

Cool nerds. Angels who flap both their left and right wings. People who are intelligent, witty, honest, open-minded, morally-sound, reliable and cool. Would like to meet people to club with, see movies with, go to karaoke with, hang out and drink coffee and chat with. And if you're not local, we'll settle for the chatting part. I'm here to get a circle, or at least a semicircle, of friends that I have things in common with.

So, write to me already. And if you do write, I like "full of wit", not "full of shit". =) Oh, and if you see me somewhere, and we haven't met yet, DO come up and say hello. I hate it when I hear the next day that you saw me and didn't say anything. Thanks. :)

And if you're in Broward or Miami-Dade and into karaoke, join my group. South Florida Karaoke Addicts It has links to places to go for karaoke and such.
