STILL NO NEWS UNDER THE SON, ASK DAD

About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V3.6 !
FBK is the undying warrior heart of Kevin Kennedy, who in his over 20 years of creating and performing music has played several instruments (some very badly:), and has also sang in choral groups, fronted a punk band, and also was a co-leader of a mildly successful hip-hop band called Poets of Heresy...in which he sung, rapped, played electric piano and on occasion help engineer and record sessions. A brilliant live performer and DJ, Kevin has played all over the US, and has performed and/or worked with some of the best in his field: Anthony 'Shake' Shakir, Daniel Bell, Paris Mack (now of the Detroit Grand Poo-bahs), Jay Denham, Claude Young, Tony Child (Surgeon), Paul Johnson, Mike Dearborn, and Jeff Mills to name a few.

FBK's foray into electronic music production began in 1995, with his first release coming out only a year after, with great reviews (9/10) in Musik Magazine (UK)...and in 1997 had one of his best releases "knobs and switches" on Anthony Shakir's Frictional imprint.FBK has produced an album this year, which is titled "No news under the Sun," which is half mix CD and half live set of all new works by the artist (and also the first release on his new label, Absoloop).Continuing to push his own boundaries and express himself, Kevin has also been tapped to appear on several compilations and is working on a set of hip-hop instrumentals and a new set of recordings in odd and rarely used time signatures. Please contact us at sleepengineering (you can from this page) about releases, appearances, gigs, or live performances. Guaranteed not to disappoint!
