Art & Music with a dramatic edge. Homestar Runner. Ancient History, Spirituality and Culture. I avoid competitive sport activities of any kind so I will not play racquetball with you. Knock yourself out, though... to each his/her own. OK, if you really suck at it and there's no audience, I'll play pool with you after I've had a few beers. I am a HUGE NWN1/2 dork. HUGE. I would be extremely pleased to meet anyone who likes that kind of junk, too.
For Friends: Cool gay guys, cool girls who like cool gay guys, people who have reinvented themselves, people who do things and make things happen. People who are nice and have a sense of humor are good, too. I am ESPECIALLY interested in making more gay friends in my age group. For More Than Friends: I really dig guys in their 30's and early 40's who are single, have jobs, can handle being in a relationship if circumstances call for it and who are not assholes. Wish me luck! Haha...
Daniel Craig, Stephen Colbert, Anderson Cooper, Steve Carell. Are Hot. Just sayin'.

Absolute favorites are: Dead Can Dance, The Cranes, Morrissey, Siouxsie and The Banshees/ The Creatures, Cocteau Twins, The Run Lola Run soundtrack, The Birth soundtrack, Arvo Part, Tavener, VAST, Lisa Gerard, Pre-POEM Delerium [after which they completely suck], Porcelain Goddess, Fischer Spooner, Later Madonna and Gay Dance Club music (SO KILL ME, I'm gay... what do you expect?). Some new recent goodies: Goldfrapp, Keane, The new-ish Depeche Mode. I have a lot of favorites, actually I cannot possibly list them all.
Orlando, Titus, Gladiator, Lilies (extra points if you've even HEARD of it), Elizabeth, The Messenger (Joan of Arc)... Are you seeing a pattern here? From my childhood: Legend and The Dark Crystal, which I still think are the best movies ever made. Donny Darko. I liked "The Day After Tomorrow", not because it was a good movie, but because I fantasize about the destruction of the civilized world... I shed tears of hypothetical joy as I watched giant tornados rip through LA. I'm almost ashamed to say I really liked "A Series of Unfortunate Events" despite the fact that J.C. was in it. At least he was all covered in makeup. I also dig anything Sci-Fi, Fantasy (LOTR, of course) and I like laughing so Comedy is good, too. In fact the only thing I would not be willing to see would be any of these new "Urban" films about car racing. WTF?
South Park, Family Guy, The Simpsons, Greg the Bunny (R.I.P.), The Office & Robot Chicken are just about the only TV I ever watch, and only from DVD's. I sometimes watch those damnable and omnipresent CSI things, but only becasue I am trying to figure out how to not make those same mistakes (jk). I used to have cable but ditched it because I watched the BBC channel to distraction...the home and garden makeover shows on there mesmerized me.
Jerome K Jerome rocks (a 19th century man with 21st century zeitgiest!), as does Jonathan Ames & Augusten Burroughs. David Sedaris is hilarious. Mark Haddon is a recent favorite. As a kid I read the Thomas Covenant Chronicals which I think may have made me the dork I am today. I was also particularly fond of "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein.
Moz & Siouxsie. Matt & Trey. Klaus Nomi. Madonna, for making a whole lot of nothing go so very far. Cher, for being a lich. I'm going to be a lich too, Cher! The man or woman who one day assasinates Tom Cruise. My mother, who worked 2 full time jobs to keep me and my 2 brothers fed. oh, and I WANT TO HAVE STEVEN COLBERT's CHILDREN. I admire Dan Savage a little. I'd now like to take a moment to list my anti-heroes, because I have a lot of hate to give: George W. Bush, Republicans in general, Carson Kressler.
