I've just moved to London for a year-long postgrad so just getting used to this crazy new city! It's expensive and kind of anonymous because it's so busy, but there's an incredible buzz about the place so even though it's exhausting I'm starting to fall in love with it!To all my mates in Hamilton, Glasgow and the QM, I love and miss you all. Jazz, rock, blues, metal, funk, musicals, punk, opera, indie...Foo Fighters, Victor Wooten, Hell Is For Heroes, Nine Inch Nails, Jaco Pastorius, Ray Charles, Biffy Clyro, Ella Fitzgerald, Jimmy Eat World, Stephen Lynch, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Maceo Parker, Tool... Oh and special mention to Parka, for being amazing, Scottish, and living in a strip club! Movies:

Favourites include the Producers, the Green Mile, Ray, Sin City, West Side Story, Buena Vista Social Club, Chicago, Shawshank Redemption (so predictable...), the X-men movies, and anything by Tim Burton or Baz Luhrmann, or with Johnny Depp in it

Television:

Don't really watch that much telly, but when i do, it's mostly trashy stuff like Hollyoaks, and comedies like Friends, Will and Grace, or the Simpsons

Books:

Just finished reading Wicked by Gregory Maguire for the 3rd time, and I still love it - it's a kind of prequel to the Wizard of Oz... the story of how the Wicked Witch of the West became wicked, and it's amazing! The Chronicles of Narnia are childhood favourites, and I'm in the middle of the Diceman by Luke Rhinehart... Sadly my otherwise excellent taste in literature is slightly marred by my weakness for Harry Potter...
