THE FENICIANS som un grup de Barcelona, amb influències reggae, rocksteady i ska amb aires jazzy. Acabem de treure el nostre primer disc "Stoned Moments".
El grup el formem gent provinent d´altres reconegudes bandes de l´escena reggae & ska a Catalunya com Dr.Calypso, Skatalà o Amusic Skazz Band.
Al disc apareixen versions de clàssics del jazz passats pel filtre jamaicà, com "God bless the child" de Billie Holiday, "The everywhere calypso" de Sonny Rollins o "Road song" de Wes Montgomery,... així com un parell de clàssics del reggae jamaicà: "Let your yeah be yeah" i "Games people play".
També hi han un parell d´originals: "Stoned moments!" i "Yaundee yards".
We´re a reggae, ska and blue rocksteady band from Barcelona (Catalunya). We´je just released our first CD "Stoned moments". It´s a collection of jamaican and jazz standards played in a rocksteady mood. Songs like "Road song" (Wes Montgomery), "God bless the child" (Billie Holiday), "The everywhere calypso" (Sonny Rollins),"Let your yeah be yeah" (The Pioneers),...
We also got two originals, "Stoned moments" (that gives name to the CD and it´s inspired in the famous Oliver Nelson´s tune "Stolen moments"), and "Yaundee yards".
THE FENICIANS is a group of friends from other bands that love the reggae, the ska, the jazz, the blues, rocksteady, R´n´R, R´n¨B and all kind of rythms and styles.

The Fenicians col.laborem amb l´equip de futbol de Thionk-Essil de Casamance (Senegal) , que a partir d´ara es dirà THE FENICIANS F.C.. L´equip es va estrenar amb victòria per 3 a 2 i els desitgem molts èxits d´ara en endavant.
Por medio un amigo de nuestro bajista,The Fenicians ha tenido la ocasión y el honor de poder colaborar con un equipo de futbol de Thionk-Essil, pueblo de la región de Casamance, que se encuentra en Senegal, aunque reclama su independencia.
The fenicians suministra equipamiento y absoluto apoyo a este equipo que ha adoptado el nombre de nuestra banda, y que ya ha ganado su primer partido por 3 a 2.
