About Me

Chicago kind of feels like my hometown now. Maybe it was always meant to be...
I'm trying to be a part of revitalizing the Midwest fashion scene - more notably, Chicago. Many designers have flocked to either coast, but what about the Mid-Coast?
My sense of style/design is done more with musicians in mind. I'm very geometric-minded and I like simplicity, but layers of complexity.
A jacket collection I'm working on, 509, will be released via Etsy.com on July 1, 2008.
I'm a punk at heart really - but I've never necessarily dressed like one. Punk is a state of mind, remember?

I am completely unapologetic of my musical tastes.
This is what's playing now:

My absolute favorite series ever is the Wayside School series by Louis Sachar.
I would also mention the Tracy Lorenz book, but I haven't read it yet.

Heroes:

Marlene Atkins for being a 2nd mom here in Chicago, Yoshi Fredisdorf for always giving me a challenge, and Scott Masson , artistically.

Vintage Ignorance

It's not the fact that you're wearing a "vintage" Nirvana shirt that bothers me it's the fact that you use that shirt as leverage of social currency. {The fact that Nirvana is even considered "vintage...
