Hey, I'm Lauren...I live in Chicago and I'm a poor college student. D:
I'm pretty much what you'd call a book-nerd. An old school nerd. I don't really play video games (although I don't have any particular aversion to them; I guess I just never got into them.) but I read a lot. I like to research, mostly historic costume. I like the Regency, Rococo, anywhere from 1870 to 1930 (but especially the 1880s, 1910s and 1920s) and I collect old photographs. I'm also interested in any traditional Italian dress, and finding out about my Italian side. I'd like to see more movies, but somehow never make the time. I'm also sort of a homebody, I'd prefer to stay home and watch a movie to going to a party. I suppose there's nothing wrong with that though, is there?
I'm kind of into steampunk right now. Steampunk's sort of hard to describe; it's as if certain technologies were invented earlier. Think Jules Verne. Anyway, I feel like I've found my place with steampunk. I even made a website for the ship I'm "on." http://lc3329.aisites.com/ /nerd
I'm going to school right now in Chicago for Graphic Design. And, as I'm currently unemployed, looking for a job. anywhere. D:
