Her father was in a rock band and raised his young, bright, blue-eyed daughter on the likes of The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. At the age of ten, Jordyn also took a liking to country music and country music stars LeAnn Rimes and Martina McBride. She began her singing career by performing in church, at weddings, and with musical theatre. Jordyn began writing some of her own music and playing guitar at 14, and soon developed her own style by singing country with a little rock thrown in, for a different, edgy sound.In 2004, at the young age of 15, Jordyn made a bold move and moved to Atlanta, Georgia to perfect her craft. She studied with vocal coach Tricia Grey, to perfect her vocal ability and stage presence. By 2005, she was performing in clubs around Atlanta and Gainesville, Georgia. Jordyn's commanding stage presence and apparent love of performing won her a loyal fan base.Jordyn has worked with several songwriters in and around Atlanta; Wil Hodge, producer/songwriter, Ruthie Jameson, singer/songwriter and particularly singer/songwriter Peggie Hoskins who gave her a chance to sing with her in an upscale club/restaurant, Luna's, in Gainesville, Georgia.In 2005/2006, Jordyn has had the opportunity to perform in Nashville at the Wild Horse Saloon, and The Nashville Palace. She performed at the second round of the Colgate Country Showdown in Perry, Georgia and she is a very popular performer at many assisted living facilities, private parties, and weddings. Jordyn was a finalist in Charlotte, North Carolina for 'Gimmie the Mike'.Jordyn is currently recording her upcoming CD with Atlanta area producer, David Leonard. She is also working with songwriter Cindy Rose Boyd for many songs on her CD. Jordyn says she relates to Cindy Rose's songs because 'they are emotions I have felt and still feel at times'.Jordyn should be appearing around the Atlanta area in the beginning of 08'.
