About Me
AKIN ONASANYA, drums, vocals. He was born in Lagos. He started playing
drums in the church as a teenager and his first band after high school was
Remedies, led by top Afro-Hip-hop artists Idris Abdulkareem and Eddie
Montana. After two years of touring Nigeria and having played some major
live shows where they featured with musicians like Usher Raymond, KC & Jo
Jo, Eve etc he left the band and joined the gospel group Christ Standard. He
featured with Kenny Saint Brown in a live show she had with American gospel
singer Kirk Franklin. He later formed and led his own band, Quest, playing jazz
standards and West African rhythms until someone brought him in 2004 to
play drums for SALVADOR SANGO,and now is playing with cuban hip pop group called free hole negro and many project like WEE from south africa, AFROSOUL TOSTING. also working on is music.now recording with sinouj.
