Shadow Play comes from three like minded individuals that want to push the boundaries of sound and sonic manipulation.
We dont believe in doing things by the book and we never have and never will. we believe music of a darker variety can be a transcendental experience that feeds the soul and we invite you to join us in our journey of sonic terror.
Shadow Play consists of James aka Audio opticon, who has thrown parties with P.T.A or Post Traumatic Amnesiacs and also Obsidian Empire along with fellow Shadow Play cohort Graham aka fuzz aka Insidious together we have done parties such as: Brisbane's trio of filth Speakwrath's album launch for their release on Hardline Rekordingz - Mind Jack -, AJ from Evol Intent, A Night of Terror with Mark N, Gigantor from Evol Intent, Phace for the Neurofunkers & A Night of Pure Filth with Sir Paul Blackout and Mark N. All based in Melbourne.
As circumstances would have it we went our own ways for a year or so.. but birds of a feather stick together and we are now joining forces in Adelaide and along with our lady of darkness the ever adorable Megz who has thrown parties with ASides and the locally run Twilight at Enigma bar.. the three dark soldiers think Adelaide is ready for an injection of proper underground bizness... no posers... no postulating....just razor sharp beats and permeating bass. also we discovered the sonic wonder that is dubstep this will also be incorporated into shows with some nights solely dedicated to this sound in the not too distant future.
So come with us on a journey through time and space and enjoy some truly dirty beats...you know you wanna...you wont regret it.
