INNER RAGE

DEFENDING THE FLAG OF THE REAL BRUTALITY

About Me

Profile edited with: CricketSoda Myspace Profile Editor
Experimental death metal band Inner Rage began in its first incarnation in1996 in San Paulo, Brazil, formed from members of Necrolust and Screams of Hate.
After recording a two-track demo Ignorance/Sarajevo and regularly gigging in the underground metal scene, in 1998 the bands founding members - guitarist vocalist Thiago Carvalho and drummer Henrique Des Reis - decided to relocate and reform the band in London where they soon found bassist Sam Pabaker to complete the line up.
But not long after, Henrique decided to move back to Brazil, making way for current drummer Nicolas Soteri. Then Sam left the band and Inner Rage went through a stage of bass crisis until 2003, when Yusuf Tary, joined to complete the line-up of Inner Rage that exists today.

Drawing influence and inspiration from genres as diverse as metal, rock, jazz and classical music and then transforming it into a unique hybrid of the lot - Inner Rage is experimental, extreme, epic, death metal. In a musical and lyrical sense, Inner Rage takes the negativity and hypocrisy of daily life and turns it into a powerful aural and energy force.
2006 was Inner Rage’s most productive year yet. The band recorded and pressed a 500-limited-edition 3-track demo, available for free at all live shows; and alongside a bunch of London and regional shows, played UXFEST 2006, were invited by Rock Sound to appear on their ‘Exposure’ stage at End of Days Festival (which was later cancelled), played a Terrorizer-sponsored all-day metal festival in London, played with Mendeed, The Quiet Kill (featuring ex-members of Million Dead, Cars as Weapons and Pale Horse), played a couple of shows with Australia’s The Berzerker, and are steadily receiving more and more requests to play gigs from all over the UK.
Inner Rage are a professional outfit – with management, web presence, transport, merchandise and promotional materials, and a great London, and growing regional, fan base, plus a commitment to push things even further in 2007.
Thiago, Yusuf and Nicolas are currently recording new tracks for an Inner Rage release.
