NEWS/INFO - Demo songs are finally recorded, mixed and mastered, check ‘em out.
HOW WE CAME TO BE -
Beginning in 2003 the band began life as an original Thrash/Death Metal band called Lethal Injection. Being the start of our musical existence we played a variety of songs with influences from Thrash Metal (Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer) and Death Metal (Death, Morbid Angel and Deicide). During those early days (and with the help of our young naivety), we played 20 song sets and on occasions gigged as a single band without support. We were received very well in the majority of our gigs but it soon became apparent that we didn’t all share the same views regarding the bands future. With a line-up from diverse backgrounds and musical tastes it was inevitable that members would eventually disperse.
The following years up until 2007 proved an ongoing struggle to maintain a solid line-up, during which time alternative projects were explored by key members. With a new musical idea and a more consistent attitude in force the band was named Black Death, partly due to the vocal dynamic in mind which never really surfaced (until now). In this band we did assume a much more Death Metal attitude to new writings which seemed to evolve the band in to a new professional dimension. We played several gigs in the area and one with Black Metal band Crimson Darkness in Southampton to mark the prestigious 666 date. During this period nothing was stable and the future was uncertain with the numerous occasions of joining and departure of members. Only the stubborn persistence of the founder, guitarist and song writer kept the band alive.
With key original members back on board we are now able to restart. A change in line-up (ie no second guitar) has been found to give the band a much more solid, tight and hard hitting sound. We've reappointed the sick sounding Lee on vocals who has really taken the job seriously with his never ending enthusiasm and dedication to improve. Ben (former Bassist) who recorded on the demo has decided to commit, so all's looking good. Still need to produce ths demo in hard copy to send out but we're looking into booking gigs and relaunch pretty soon.
Summary - Following careful deliberation we have made new decisions of how we can not only sound more professional and consistent, but to also stand apart from the countless other Death Metal bands competing for recognition within our domain. Although we still have much work to do in order to develop this dream in to realisation, and alot depends on maintaining a solid line-up, we're confident that Death Metal fans around the globe will continue to be impressed and enjoy our sound for years to come.
