The Exalters originated in the mind of Brother O.W. Griffin, in the summer of 1990 .as he was teaching his son to master the bass guitar. Eventually , Sis Mary Griffin and the girls, Temple,Tiffany, And Patrice we invited to sing along in these instrumentals meetings. After several rehearsals, the voices began to blend smoothly with each other , as well as along with the music. The suggestion to formally become the exalters was agreed upon. the Exalters were dedicated to the lord in 1991, afterwards the lord stepped in and took control. Soon many doors opened for the exalters and within the first year they recorded their first demo cassette, entitled A Mean World. The lord then blessed them to return to the studio and record thier second demo entitled (A perfect Day). And from then on Such albums as Stretched Out, Sunshine, and Live in Milwaukee were born. The Exalters have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with some of gospel musics best. Such as the The Pilgram Jubilees Of Chicago, The Christian Harmonizers of Memphis Tenn. And The Lumzy Sisters of New Jersey. In July 1994, The Exalters were also blessed to able to sing before the Queen of Gospel Mrs. Shirley Caesar in the Shirley Caesar Mass Media Gospel Showcase and as a result of this appearance, They were blessed to win 2nd place. the lord has done so much for the Exalters and now they are ready to share with the rest of the world their wonderful singing ministry.
