Quazar has been at the forefront of the Amsterdam house and technoscene since it's first release 'Seven stars/Day glo' on the Go Bang! label (1991). After 17 years the group is still around, although nowadays Quazar live gigs are quite rare.
This summer the 3-piece will only give 2 concerts: on saturday 21 june at the closing party of legendary club De Waakzaamheid ('Last chance to dance') and on saturday 12 july on the Dance Valley festival near Amsterdam. At the moment frontman Gert van Veen divides his time between recording new tracks, performing with the new 6-piece Amsterdam 661 (MG, Kabale Und Liebe, Lauhaus, David Labeij, Julien Chaptal and Boris Werner), organising the second Welcome to the future-festival in cooperation with ID&T (saturday august 2, Twiske, Netherlands) and navigating Amsterdam club Studio 80.
