Punk Rock For Girls...

About Me

**New Day Rule**
After a well earned 12 month break from life on the road, the UK’s favourite Rock Punkers *Two Day Rule* return to the circuit to unleash their newest audio incarnation on the British public in the ironically titled 'Technical Difficulties'.
The long awaited & anticipated 4th studio release follows up 'After Dark', 'Been Around' & 'When You're Ready' while providing the perfect platform to unveil their new line up, plans for 2007 & why they’re sticking to their own ethics and not succumbing to the pressure to become just another fashionable scene band.
The new album, which is being seen by many as being their ‘Re-Debut’, in terms of musical direction & attitude, shows a more mature and fuller sounding Two Day Rule while still maintaining the "blistering soundscape on the brink of collapse" of recent offerings.
The band, now consisting of original members Neil Murray (Lead Vocals & Guitar) & Matt Woolman (Drums) are joined by new additions Wil Miles (Bass & Backing Vocals) and ex-Madisuns (Revolver Records) drummer Richie Towerton (Ryth Guitar & Backing Vocals), have produced a record with all the edge & grit of their live shows in a neat 11 track offering.
Showcasing the bands dynamic 3 part vocal harmonies, soaring bass lines, drums that could make your heart stop and more catchy hooks than most bands could offer in a lifetime, Two Day Rule’s energy & determination does not fall by the wayside like many of their British counterparts and is obvious to anyone who still believes British Rock/Punk isn’t second best to the recent U.S onslaught while their energetic stage antics and vigorous touring schedule has earned them the title of being one of the hardest working bands on the circuit.
Averaging 150 gigs a year, they've supported bands such as Billy Talent, Allister, Alexisonfire, the Hard-Ons and The Halo Friendlies on their UK tours
**‘Technical Difficulties’ ** independent release available soon.

Know The Rule:

When we formed we chose the name "Two Day Rule" because we were sick of bands full of guys pretending to be sensitive in an attempt to attract girls. Something I find to be equally repulsive as having ridiculous hair, clothes, or jewellery in the mating game. It's cheating. Just because girls are willing to believe the best of guys, doesn't mean that musicians (who are all fannyrats with the morals of a cabinet minister) should take advantage of their better nature. So, "Two Day Rule" is a reference to the nature of the real dating game, and our modus operandi is more akin to the bowhunter manifesto of Ted nugent, than the fishing with dynamite methods of Crocodile Dundee. Any band choosing to call themselves "emo" at this point is even more dispicable than their predecessors because they're bandwagon jumpers too. The real originators of the emo genre are so disgusted by what they've spawned that at this point they're doing everything they can to distance themselves from their expensively coiffed progeny. If you want to hear emo in my record collection the nearest you'll get is Sebadoh. If you can put your hair straighteners down for long enough to check them out. Here's some bands that influenced our sound: Elvis Costello, Fishbone, 24-7 Spyz, The Ataris, The Wildhearts, The Clash, Van Halen, NOFX, The Lunachicks, Aimee Mann, Ani DiFranco, Green Day, Aerosmith, Queen, Love/Hate, Guns & Roses, Jeff Buckley, Timbaland, Ben Folds, Queens of the Stone Age, Jane's Addiction, Queen, Weezer,A, Foo Fighters,... oooh, loads...
