Deadpunk Promotions
Started in May 2002 Deadpunk Promotions was set up with the idea of putting on good quality punk, ska and hardcore shows that would bring new bands to Bristol and help support the up and coming local bands with good support slots and a fair financial contribution for their efforts. Since 2002 the idea has expanded and I have ended up putting on a lot of bands I never thought I would ever get the chance to work with.
Can my band play at a Deadpunk show?
My attitude towards touring bands is that they are going to make the effort to travel down to Bristol and play then they deserve petrol money (and preferably a bit on top), some food and a good gig with bands that will compliment their style and people who will appreciate what they are doing and will in turn buy Merchandise. However, it's not as easy as putting on every band who get in touch as there is not as much interest in Bristol for unknown, out of town bands as I would like. I am therefore very strict with the bands that I book, and even if a band has toured with X, played at Y festival and has a deal with Z Records, it doesn't necessarily mean I'll book the band. Please e-mail me at [email protected] (I won't reply if you contact me through Myspace) and send me a link to an MP3 if you have one, if you don't I will send you my home address to send a CD to. Please do not be disheartened if I decide I don't want to put on your band.
Where can I buy tickets for Deadpunk shows?
You can buy tickets directly and without any fee's from The Crofts own record shop - Cherry Picked Records, based in the front bar of The Croft and open from 12pm till 7pm monday to saturday, other than that you can get the online from Bristol Ticket Shop - www.bristolticketshop.co.uk and at www.wegottickets.com - If the tickets aren't on sale when you check the outlet it's because I have yet to put them on sale yet, but they will be on sale soon.
