Jennie Muoio majored in Vocal Performing Arts in Rochester, New York. During this time she performed in many different groups covering a variety of genres including classical, madrigal, rock and jazz. Jennie also had lead rolls in the musicals 'Guys and Dolls' (Sarah), 'Little Shop of Horrors' (Chiffon) and 'Hair' (Janine). During her time at college she began teaching private vocal lessons and directed and conducted two staged shows. Once leaving college Jennie sang for weddings and joined the Rochester Opera Factory for two season, performing in such operas as Pietro Mascagni's 'Cavalieri Rusticana.' ************************************************************ ******* Upon moving to Buffalo, New York, Jennie joined the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus for a season, performing classic pieces such as Mozart's Requiem. Jennie also performed as a member of the choral ensemble and Soprano I in the small woman's choir for Richard Einhorn's 'Voices of Light,' a musical score for Carl Th. Dreyer's silent movie 'The Passion of Joan of Arc.' ************************************************************ ******* After moving to Brooklyn, New York, Jennie joined the New York City Master Chorale for their inaugural concert performance at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center. She then sang a season with the Dessoff Choirs, which started its 82nd season with a performance at Carnegie Hall singing Ravel's Daphnis et Chloe Suites, Nos. 1 – 2 with the NHK Symphony Orchestra, Vladimir Ashkenazy conducting. In addition, Jennie also sings with talented singer/songwriters around the city, such as Andy Mac, Lara Ewen and Bryan Dunn, expanding her musical vocal range to blend with many different sounds.
