LJ FEELEY:I absolutelly love music with soul...from house to drum and bass, if it has soul its all good with me.
I personally like to deep style of house, Dennis Ferrer, Masters at Work style, but with The GoodGroove Collective we play an entire selection, from lounge, to deep and jazzy, to soulful and jackin..I've been collecting records and music for about 9 years, the house bug caught me when i saw CJ Macintosh @ De Ja Vu in Hull some years back, just loved the vibe and feeling from the music..VICTOR P:With a personal vinyl collection of well over 10,000 records spanning from 1972-1992 covering all things Soulful & Funky, I just love the stuff, one day you're very young watching your dad flick through his records (i always remember him playing his 7" copy of Instant Funk's Got My Mind Made Up) & the next you've outdone his collection by up to 100 fold! Whether its Funk, Disco, Boogie, Jazz Funk, Electro or Rare Groove, there is something that connects them together, & that's SOUL, although ONLY 25 years old many consider Me to be a connoiseur of the whole genre, but I wouldnt agree - I admit I know a hell of a lot (writers, years, producers, labels...), people I consider connoiseurs would Joey Negro, Sean P, Norman Jay, Eddie Pillar to name a few, Ive got 20 years on them, come back in 20 years time & ask!
Any promoters out there that are after dj's that not only have passion for the music but the knowledge, and the abiltiy to work a crowd, please get in touch and we'll send you a cd.
