I am married to a wonderful man from Australia. We have Mini Schnauzers (5) and Boston Terriers (2) and (1) wonderful lab/golden mix. I know, it is a strange combination to have but they all are great dogs. We are not a breeding kennel and all of our animals are spayed and neutered. In our family, I am the dog person and my husband is the cat person. Now my husband has 15 cats. All of the cats are rescues in one way or another. The last kitten to arrive, arrived in the mouth of our oldest male who managed to get out of the house. He was gone only for a few minutes and when he came back, he was carrying this cute tiny kitten. We decided to keep her, so took her to the vet. She was only 5 weeks old and 19 ounces so didn't get her shots. We named her Samantha and are now watching her grow up. WOW, I had forgotten how much energy a kitten has.I love most animals and would have more if my husband would let me. It breaks my heart to read about all of the wonderful dogs/puppies and cats/kittens that are abused and just thrown away like everyday garbage. I personally believe that one day when we all stand before our creator, we will have to account for what we have done to HIS creatures.We are thinking about adding some rooms onto our home. Part of me is all for it and the other part is dreading the horrible mess that will make. I'm trying to learn how to be frugal (not tight) but manage our money better by using swaps and trades, coupons, yard sales, etc. Just this year, I've learned how to can. It was fun but alot of hard work.I support our troops stationed all over the world. I may not agree with the politics that put them in harms way, but I support and pray for the troops. Peace is always the better alternative.I just found out this week that I have fibro along with arthritis, a rotten back, (I knew about the arthritis and bad back) and a few other nice things. If you suffer from fibro and have non narcotic ways of living with this and dealing with the pain, please let me know.I'm a friendly, outgoing person who loves to make new friends. I do like to write to my friends but that usually only happens on the weekends when I have more time. I'd love to have friends that #1 love the Lord, and #2 love animals.

My Interests

My interests include: gardening

jewelry making, beading, reading (Nora Roberts, Fern Michaels are 2 of my favorite authors, cooking (diabetic and heart healthy) and of course church and Christian music. I enjoy flea markets and hunting down the good bargains. I love antiques and collecting cookbooks. I've been working on my family history since 1994 and have gone back about 9 generations. I'm back to the European roots and that's a bit difficult.

Music:

My music interest runs from classical to country western, to easy listening to soft rock, oldies from the 50's 60's and early 70's. I love Christian music, contempory to the Gaithers and all points inbetween. I detest hard rock, satanic, bluegrass.

Movies:

My all time favorite movie is Dirty Dancing. I also like Star Trek, Star Wars, chick flicks, animal stories, true life stories.

Television:

What little tv I do watch is HGTV, Animal Planet, CNN. I do enjoy watching Dancing with the Stars.

Books:

The Bible, The Left Behind Series, animal stories, historical novels
