About Me

Hello and Welcome to my corner of myspace! I am a silver-gray-haired lady, 55 yrs. young, who has earned every single gray hair on my head! I have 5 beautiful children : Josh(Ann),Anna(David),Lydia(Eric),Abby and Micah, and 3 beautiful granddaughters : Faith and Hannah (Josh and Ann's), and Avalon (Anna and Davids). My faith and family are of first and foremost importance in my life. I also LOVE horses!! After years of begging and pleading,throughout my childhood,I finally got a horse when I was going into HS ~ I thought I'd died and gone to heaven! Those were definitely some of the BEST years of my life! It is my sincere intent,desire and goal, to have a another horse (preferably a black and white Paint), before I take my leave of this world. I grew up in a wonderful christian family, with awesome parents and 4 doting brothers, who always let me be "one of the guys" with them! Needless to say, I was a tomboy and loved every minute of it! My Mom had a massive stroke at the age of 56 (I was 24), and I helped my Dad take care of her, for the remaining 4 yrs. of her life. Losing my Mom,(my best friend) at the age of 29,with 3 young children in tow, was the hardest thing I have ever gone through. Not a day has gone by these past 25 yrs., that I haven't thought about her, and I have missed her more than ever, these past 3-5yrs! My Dad is 85, still drives and sings in 2 choirs at church and is a wonderful decent man! He never had the desire to remarry. I was a stay-at-home Mom, did tons of volunteer work at church and school, and after my youngest was in 5th grade, I started working as a ParaEducator in Secondary Special Education, at Jefferson High School. I loved my job, and was there for 9 yrs., before being forced out because of the repercussions of a failed back surgery. I wish so much, that I could still be working. The Lord has blessed me in so many ways, and I'm very grateful for all that he has done in my life, throughout the years!a

Heroes:

My Mom - the most kind,loving,caring,accepting and unassuming person I have ever known. In her presence, anyone and everyone felt loved and cared for. Everyone who knew her called her a saint and I couldn't agree more. I so deeply regret her passing, before she had a chance to know most of her 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. They were her greatest joy! Also my Dad! He too, is a saint in my eyes! After my Mom had a massive stroke and spent 6 months in the hospital, my Dad and I took care of my Mom at home. We (my husband, and 9 mo. old son, Josh) moved in and lived with them for 2 yrs.,to help out. We moved into our first home when I was 7 months of pregnant, and could no longer do the lifting. My Dad took such good care of my Mom, and I NEVER - EVER heard him complain - not even once!! So I feel extremely blessed to have had 2 loving, caring and most-saintly role models in my life! They truly are my :MY HEROES
