About Me

..This profile was edited with Thomas' myspace editor™ V2.5
I am firstly a Christian and I identify myself as a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. I am told that I am a "member of the religious left." Others may call me a "liberal evangelical." Some others might call me a "red letter Christian." For me, this means that while I'm not sure what God would say is right about blessing and/or ordaining homosexuals, I know that He DOES love them (Thank You Very Much!) and that God can use ANYBODY (this INCLUDES homosexuals, bisexuals, and ANY sinners. . .which means I TOTALLY AND FULLY support people in that lifestyle, as I know that they can be completely ethical and have a very strong faith. . .HE can even use unbelievers for us believers, do NOT doubt it!). I won't deny that. It also means that I support women in ministry and the ordination of women. (As for female images of God, I agree that they are found in the Bible, but I do not believe in praying to a goddess. I do believe in the Holy Trinity and since a spirit has no gender, God can be seen as male or female, but is really neither nor both. I believe in the Father (just because I am comfortable with that description and have no problem with people who would rather call God "Mother", Son, and the Holy Spirit). I do not support Christians using idols in any way other than letting people know that they should not use or worship them. They should not be found in church except maybe in classrooms so people can be taught. I, however, do not support abortion unless the mother's life/health is in danger. Yet, I do know that God forgives sin and will not condemn those who have had abortions, as long as they are sorry about having the abortions.
When asked for adjectives to describe me, the two that were repeated from friends were Lutheran and opinionated. [Honestly, I HATE politics (though, I'm sure some people would somehow classify me - I never seem to fully agree with any party or candidate), but I CAN BE very opinionated! My morals are completely based on my faith, so, don't expect things that contradict that.]
I work as a freelance writer for Associated Content, so I get paid to write! Page views are great things, too, so come and read my articles! ..
I have a LiveJournal that I update regularly, if not too much on some days. It is for all of my writings that I feel like posting. My user name there is KagomeShuko. It is mainly an open journal and I accept most friends. I rarely take any off of my list [reasons are that I just don't read the journal or something in the comments REALLY caused problems (and this has to be major, not some little disagreement)]. I'm never sure what exactly will go in this journal. However, it seems like mostly writings on the lessons for the coming Sunday, a few posts about religious events, some serious writings, and just a few fun things. If you want lots of fun, check out my LiveJournal.
I am not trying to be a "friend whore" as they so call people with lots of friends. I honestly LOVE networking and MySpace is a great site for networking. Most people seem to be able to tell from where I found them (if you guess I found you at a musician's MySpace, you're usually right). I learned the benefit of networking in college and at many youth worker trainings. Thus, I want to network with as many people as I can.
An invitation to read my blog is simply that, an invitation. Please don't take it the wrong way. If you learn something, that's great. If you disagree, that's perfectly fine. If you don't want to read it, I won't be offended.
About the Profile Song:My profile song is "Have Love" by Lost And Found. While I do love all of their songs, I honestly have to say that I think this one is currently (and has been since I've heard it) my favorite song out of all of them My old profile song is "Be Not Afraid" by Lost And Found. I chose this song for several reasons. First of all, I find this song quite true to their style which I happen to love. Second, it comes straight from the scriptures. Third, it is very special as it is the first second song that was played at the concert in Lake Charles, LA. Fourth, it was also the first song that was played at the Steamboat Museum in Beaumont, TX which was the first time I was early to a concert. It was also the first time they ever played the song in concert. Fifth, I just love the song.
Yes, I took the picture of Michael jumping off the chair! :)

I'm actually quite surprised that this works fairly well. I'm not really a political person, but I am opinionated, and that one is hard to explain. I don't see how I'd like a conservative guy if I'm liberal. That one is odd. I'd put "religious" first on things. . .it's ALL ABOUT GOD. . .and I've said it SO many times and I'll say it again. "Faith is sexy." It's no wonder I like the guy that I do, but I just keep trusting God to lead me in the right direction. I don't know His plans.
