Rock from the Dutch coastline

About Me

I started playing guitar in the mid 70's. But gave-up after hearing the Elegant Gypsy album by Al Di Meola around 1978. "If I can't play like that I don't want to play at all." And became a busy percussionist during the late 70's and 80'splaying mostly jazzrock/fusion. (DiMeola style!). Picked-up the electric guitar again around 2001 because I wanted to let of steam really loud and heavy after work (sound-engineer / lighting design). That got out of hand: I write my own music now to expres myself, and here we are, rockin' every day. Frits T. Keiser on guitar supported by local musicians under the Fierce Electric Fence name.
My music was not recorded for tiny computer speakers. So hook up your computer to at least your stereo, or burn it on CD, and play it seriously loud. Good big headphones are a joy too. "Then you will get it!"

Sounds Like: Writing my music hopefully I sound like me!Axecution was played after the murder on a Dutch filmmaker by a radical. All I could do was pick up my axe, play, and release all the feelings of anger, fear and revenge. This is what came out, late at night a couple of days after this event outraged our city. Straight from the heart, there was no writing involved. It was played and downloaded from the web a lot during those days, and became more or less a soundtrack to the images everyone saw all over the news.

I agree with Frank Zappa

In an essay on "The Guitar's Use in Pop Music," Frank Zappa once made reference to latter-day guitarists and their penchant for "clouds of educated gnat-notes." (He also referred to their "pathetic li...
